Acts 17:11

Amplified Bible (AMP)

11 Now these [Jews] were better disposed and more noble than those in Thessalonica, for they were entirely ready and accepted and welcomed the message [[a]concerning the attainment through Christ of eternal salvation in the kingdom of God] with inclination of mind and eagerness, searching and examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.

Call to Action!

Sabathani Food Shelf Drive!

Good Morning Everyone,
March is fast approaching and we all know what is coming. The announcement has  been made, the stage has been set, for Sabathani Food Shelf Drive. Starting on Sunday March 2nd, 2014, at 8am & 10:40am, the Mission Ministry will be soliciting your help to fill the barrels with Non perishable food items and toiletries. Monetary assistance is also accepted. Throughout the Month of March the barrels will be located in the security area next to the sanctuary. For all the food items we collect they are matched by another organization pound per pound. We need your assistance in passing along this information to other church members whom don’t have email, or may not be aware that this will start on Sunday.  When brining items please check your expiration dates, not to bring anything that is out dated, or unusable. Your help in reaching others is greatly appreciated. GF let’s fill the barrels every week.

Thank You,
Deaconess Shirley

Monthly Community Engagement @ Greater Friendship!

Our kids can’t wait –Monthly Community Engagement on Education Session

Join us every third Tuesday of each month beginning Tuesday November 19th, for our Community Engagement on Education Session at Greater Friendship Baptist Church 2600 E. 38th Street Minneapolis, MN 55406 from 5:30 till 7:00pm

In our monthly Community Engagement Sessions we will discuss topics such as what are the biggest challenges facing schools in our community, how can we work together to make sure our kids get the best education possible and how can we make sure that the interests’ of students are at the forefront of every policy decision?

StudentsFirst hopes to bring together a broad cross-section of parents, students, teachers, administrators, business and community leaders and elected officials, to act on our shared responsibility of ensuring that every student attends a great school, has great teachers and gets a high quality education.

We look forward to seeing you there.
Please RSVP for this important community discussion to www.Studentsfirst.org/minnesotaEvents.
