Scripture & Prayer Requests

Isaiah 53:4-5
King James Version (KJV)

4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

 http://tinyurl.com/PromiseFellow-ISD191

Please share this opportunity to be an AmeriCorps Promise Fellow in ISD 191 with your friends, family, BHS or BAHS graduates, and contacts.  We have been awarded 9 full-time AmeriCorps Promise Fellows from the Minnesota Alliance with Youth for next school year.  Please help in our effort to recruit quality candidates by sharing the below information.

AmeriCorps Promise Fellow Opportunity in ISD 191:

The Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District is seeking AmeriCorps Promise Fellows for their secondary schools.  Promise Fellows will work with youth in grades 7 - 10 at one of the following locations: Metcalf Junior High School, Eagle Ridge Junior High School, Nicollet Junior High School, Burnsville High School, and Burnsville Alternative High School.  Fellows provide researched-based interventions that focus on promoting and improving attendance, behavior, and school success.  This opportunity will include mentoring students, assisting with academics, engaging students and families in the school and community, and service learning.

Promise Fellows typically serve in our schools Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

People frequently become Promise Fellows to gain experience in education, youth development, social work or related fields, and to experience the rewards of giving back to the community.
