Scripture & Prayer Requests

2 Corinthians 12:9

Amplified Bible (AMP)

9 but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me.

7:30 PM
Join Bishop Howell for prayer in front of 4th Precinct.

1925 Plymouth Ave. North

Minneapolis, MN

Dear GFMBC Family,
We are launching a coordinated ministry of presence at Minneapolis’ 4th precinct. Many of you have been down to the Fourth Precinct in Minneapolis over the last five days, standing in witness to the leadership of Black Lives Matter.  Your presence as faith leaders is important and appreciated by many.
During these next days, we will be offering a sacred space of prayer and healing, taking 2-hour shifts at the Fourth Precinct.  If you can take a shift or two over the next few days, please let us know by replying to this email.
JOIN Bishop Howell for prayer tonight at 7:30 pm in front of the 4th Precinct.
1925 Plymouth Ave N.
People are hurting all over our state, and right now, in front of Minneapolis’s 4th Precinct.  Those who are willing will take 2-hour shifts throughout the days, while people are there through the night.  Let us stand under the large number 4 that marks the 4th Precinct and let it remind us that we are there for 4 reasons:
1. To declare holy ground.  That in this space people are honored, they are safe and they are loved.
2. To listen to the cries and the pain of those who are suffering the trauma of the events unfolding in Minneapolis.
3. To pray with those who want prayer.
4. To stay grounded ourselves, in the reality of the racial dynamic where those of us who are white are entering into this situation with privilege that we often don’t even comprehend and those of us who are black and brown are facing a system that is failing them and creating violence in their lives.
As the faith community, we live in the reality of a desperate need for justice and repairing a system that over and over again is hurting and killing black men and women.  This system needs fixing.  No one has the answers, but as the faith community we stand steadfast in the demand for healing and for staying engaged until healing happens.
Please let us know by replying to this email if you can take a shift or two over the next few days.
Please watch your email and ISAIAH’s Facebook page for updates as the situation and needs change frequently. Thank you for your presence and your witness.

Hello family,

I pray all is well with you and your families.  This is an exciting time for the MSBC music ministry as we are gearing up for our live recording on Sunday March 13th @ Shiloh Baptist Church in St. Paul.  To ensure this historic event is its best we are starting our rehearsals starting this month.  Please see below for the rehearsals for November and December.  It is going to be a commitment, but the end result will be a great project that will minister to people for many years.  We really would like show how talent that is in our convention and I am excited and I hope to see everyone there.

Please announce this at your ministry rehearsals to ensure everyone has the opportunity to be a part of this great event.  We are learning all original material so it is our presence is very important.  If you would have any questions or would like to volunteer on a committee please let me know (marketing, fundraising, wardrobe, etc.).

December 5th @ 10am - Location TBD
