We have secured a room block at a discounted rate at the Intercontinental Hotel MSP Airport. The rate is $129 for Run of House room per night exclusive of taxes. Stairstep Foundation/His Works United in collaboration with Messianic Care and Black Nurses Rock TC will provide COVID-19 vaccination events at the Urban League for members of our community 18 years of age and older. We are grateful to the President and CEO, Steven Belton, for opening their doors for this community benefit.
The Johnson & Johnson  vaccine will be utilized and requires only one dose.

Hi all –
Today, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra announced that additional savings and lower health care costs are available for consumers on The American Rescue Plan (ARP) has increased tax credits available to consumers, helping to reduce premiums and giving consumers access to affordable health care coverage. The Department also announced an additional $50 million in advertising to bolster the Special Enrollment Period outreach campaign. The campaign will run through August 15, 2021.
“We’re delivering lower health care costs to more Americans because everyone deserves access to quality, affordable health care. Today help is here and millions of Americans can start saving money on their health insurance premiums thanks to the American Rescue Plan,” said HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra. “The Biden Administration is committed to bringing down health care costs for families. Consumers can save money by visiting and choosing a plan that works for them and their budget. HHS will be reaching out to encourage Americans to use the Special Enrollment Period to sign up for quality, affordable coverage through”

Thank you so much for your willingness to participate in this new and improved Emergency Preparedness Initiative! We are so excited to have your church within our network and as one of our partnering churches! Below are important dates for this initiative including orientation, the seminar series and next steps moving forward. All meetings are open to the entire church but we would like the church pastor and designated FAITH! Champion to attend. Zoom links to all meetings will be provided in the near future; please feel free to distribute to your church members. Each participating church will receive a $500 incentive to develop or enhance their church emergency preparedness team!

On March 24, FEMA released the interim policy guidance on the COVID-19 Funeral Assistance program. It will be a reimbursement program for eligible funeral expenses for deaths related to COVID-19 that occurred after January 20, 2020.

The program is not yet active, but is anticipated to begin in early April. This bulletin is simply a notice to provide awareness of the impending launch, allowing individuals an opportunity to begin to gather documentation and case workers time to gain familiarity. If your organization provides funeral assistance please take a look at how your program may interact with the FEMA's COVID-19 Funeral Assistance program to avoid duplication of benefits. For those accustomed to conventional natural disaster responses please note that FEMA intends to establish a dedicated toll-free phone number for COVID-19 Funeral Assistance, separate from
