AmeriCorps Promise Fellow Opportunity in ISD 191: The Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District is seeking AmeriCorps Promise Fellows for their secondary schools. Promise Fellows will work with youth in grades 7 - 10 at one of the following locations: Metcalf Junior High School, Eagle Ridge Junior High School, Nicollet Junior High School, Burnsville High School, and Burnsville Alternative High School. Fellows provide researched-based interventions that focus on promoting and improving attendance, behavior, and school success. This opportunity will include mentoring students, assisting with academics, engaging students and families in the school and community, and service learning. Promise Fellows typically serve in our schools Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. People frequently become Promise Fellows to gain experience in education, youth development, social work or related fields, and to experience the rewards of giving back to the community. proud to announce we will award three $1,000 academic scholarships for the
2014/2015 academic year. Enclosed you will find a link to the scholarship
application for the 2014-2015 school year.
Students wishing to apply must meet the following guidelines:
Be a Paid member of NABA, or sign-up for membership if selected as a scholarship recipient. A paid member is one whose membership dues have been received by NABA's National Office, on or before scholarship award disbursement date. Dues are $20 for undergraduate or graduate students. Visit the membership page at www.nabainc.org Be an ethnic minority currently enrolled at a Minnesota college or university as a full-time undergraduate Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems major. Or, be a full-time graduate student in a business program. Must meet the minimum Major grade point average requirement of 3.3 and 3.0 overall . MetroHope Ministries
MetroHope Recovery Ministries is a 501c3 organization that has been working for over 85 years to provide real help and lasting hope to people in recovery in a grace-filled environment through Jesus Christ. Open Positions Registered Nurse The Program Nurse assists in reviewing current resident medication services and developing new services as Group Residential Housing requirements change. The Program Nurse will work with individual residents that choose to have assistance with their medications. Assisting the individual residents in implementing a plan to meet their medication needs, including their individual choices, creating an individual medication plan, and securing a primary care doctor and dentist. Position Requirements State of Minnesota Registered Nurse This is a part-time position approximate 1 afternoon a week for 4 hours. Salary is hourly $15-25 per hour. Live-In House Manger This is a part-time live-in position to supervise evening and/or weekend programming at a Minneapolis-based Christian recovery center for women and their children. Position is 20-25 hours per week at $8:00 an hour (plus free room and board) Hours are flexible but primarily 2-3 mornings per week from 6:30-8:00am (supervise breakfast and document medications) and flexible shifts on: Friday night, Saturday and/or Sunday, and possibly one week-night shift (4pm-11:30pm). Primary responsibilities include supervising meals, taking attendance at programming, signing out medication, monitoring the front door, and some lay-counseling. This position REQUIRES that the staff member live on-site. Staff member will have own personal bedroom and share a bathroom with another staff. This position is ideal for a college student or older single female. Position includes free room and board, meaning all utilities and meals are free. Facility is located in North Minneapolis and has a safe security system and parking. Salary: $8 per hour plus room and board. Data Entry Clerk The Data Entry Clerk will report to MetroHope Chief Operations Officer (COO)and will provide assistance in data entry and minor clerical responsibilities. Primary Responsibilities · Maintaining and updating donor database. · Processing and entering accounts payable and receivable into QuickBooks. · Assisting the COO in minor clerical duties. Necessary Qualifications: · Willingness to sign and live out MetroHope’s statement of faith. · Proficient in QuickBooks and computer programs This is a part time position approximately 15-20 hours per week. The salary is $10-$12 per hour depending on experience.
